Ripples and Reflections

Writer's picture: Mary Katherine HopkinsMary Katherine Hopkins

The 'reflections' on the pond were plotted out on paper that was cut and marked to the final size and all the registrations from yesterday added. These were then traced, reversed onto a light fusible and then fused to the lighter, reflection fabric.

After cutting all the pieces and sorting them to their positions on the paper guide the background fabric was cut and laid on the yesterday's cotton stabilizer that had all the registration marks from yesterday.

The reflection pieces that corresponded to the registration marks, the edge pieces, trimmed and ready to fuse, were placed exactly on their marks and the others placed in and approximate location.

Tomorrow will be interesting as the registration of edge pieces all have to line up work when the panels are interchanged. The remaining pieces can be placed where the eye puts them.
